A little bit of catching up to do...

Happy New Year! We have had a VERY busy last couple of months! Here are a few things that we have been up to...

Disney Princesses on Ice

We had a good time seeing each of the Princesses skate their stories on ice! Jordyn was completely mezmerized, and wouldn't take her eyes off what was happening on the ice.
Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving at my Mom's house this year. After a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner, we went shooting near the river by her house.
Happy Birthday, Jeff!
Jeff's birthday was on December 2nd. He turned the big 3-0 this year! Jordyn and I gave him gifts in the morning, and I took him lunch to work that afternoon. He is such a great husband to me and an awesome daddy to Jordyn! We love you, Jeff!

Polar Express and Snow Tubing

After my finals were done, we celebrated the end of the semester and Jeff's birthday by going to Heber City and riding the Polar Express. Jordyn LOVED being on the choo-choo train and having hot chocolate and cookies. When Santa came on board, her eyes lit up! He gave her a special bell, and she made sure that both Jeff and I could hear it ring.

When we got back to our hotel, Santa had left another special gift on Jordyn's bed - the first gift of Christmas. Jordyn opened it up and found a new snow suit, hat, gloves, and boots for her to wear to Soldier Hollow when we went tubing the next day! My sisters, brother-in-law, and my nephews all came tubing with us, and we all had a great time! I love tow ropes that take you up the mountain so you don't have to hike!

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year! We spent Christmas Eve at my Mom's and had a very nice Christmas program, then we did our gift exchange. Afterwards we came home and went to bed while Santa did his work. Jeff was the first one up at 6:00, and finally we decided to get Jordyn up and started the festivities at 7:30. Jordyn was so fun to watch - she would open a present and want to play with it RIGHT THEN. We'd have to tell her, "Jordyn, there's still lot's of presents we need to open, we can play with them once we're all done unwrapping." Ironically, out of all her presents - the battery powered four-wheeler, the tent and sleeping bag, the games and puzzles - her favorite present was the movie Bolt. We had rented it month's ago and she cried when we had to go take it back. So when she found it under the tree she screamed "BOLT!!" and hugged it to her chest and started dancing around. What a fun little girl she is.

I got Jeff the Metallica Guitar Hero and a pan of mint brownies which are his favorite. He surprised me with a poem and a picture to go along with it. It made me cry. We're also working on the financing for a NEW DODGE TRUCK which we will be getting at the first of the year, and we were able to go drive it around a bit on Christmas day. Imagine all the looks on the faces of Jeff's family as we pulled into their driveway in a new truck on Christmas morning! We had Christmas breakfast with his family then had to take the truck back. But it will be ours soon and Jeff is SO excited he can hardly stand it!

Merry Belated Christmas and best wishes for Twenty-Ten!
